2008 Gen-X Rules

(1)Vehicle Description:
(A)  An economy sedan, coup or light truck originally available with an in-line four- (4)
cylinder carbureted or throttles body or multiport fuel injection engines.
(B)  All cars are subject to inspection at any time and may require the removal of some
components.
(C)  No update, backdate, option, etc…  The vehicle must appear both mechanically and
cosmetically as it did out of the factory.
(D)  The vehicle will be approved only if it meets the general requirements listed in these
rules including but not limited to, front wheel drive or rear wheel drive and OEM four-
cylinder engine. Approvals for different makes and/or models must cleared by the N.V.R.C.  
Management.

(2)Engine:
(A)  All engines must be OEM in-line four cylinders. The engine is to remain bone Stock in
all aspects. Interpretation of the term stock will be applied strictly. And is final subject to
management’s judgment.
(B)  Engines may be carbureted or fuel injected. Carburetors and fuel injection must be
original OEM systems that came stock with the specific automobile from the factory.
Carburetors and fuel injection cannot be altered in any way.
(C)  Stock modules and computers, if equipped, must be retained as a functioning part of
the engine system and kept un-modified. In order to help to achieve this, the stock wiring
harness must be retained. Additionally, the stock dash and instruments may also be
retained.
(D)  Engine must produce a smooth idle at factory specified engine speed (or 800 RPM if
factory specifications are not known). Subject to tech officials discretion.
(E)   Fuel system can remain stock provided the original fuel tank is located within the cars
wheelbase. If the fuel tank’s stock location is behind the rear wheels, it must be replaced
with a fuel cell in the trunk area with a metal barrier placed between it and the driver’s
compartment.
(F)   No mid engine or rear engine allowed.
(G)  Drive train must match year and application.
(H)  Single cam, 2600cc max.  No rotaries.
(I)     The only after market parts allowed must be exact replicas of OEM parts.
(J)    Exhaust system after stock manifold may be changed. Emission system may be
removed.
(K) Single two-barrel carburetor.  May be changed within vehicle make. Air cleaner may be
changed. Must have originally been on a four-cylinder motor.
(L)   Adapters no more than 1” in height no spacers allowed.
(M)No lightened flywheels.
(N) Automatic transmissions must have functional torque converters.
(O) 93 octane or lower grade gasoline only. No Race Gas. No additives at all.
(P)   Fuel cell may be no more than 8 gallons.
(Q) The following systems are not allowed regardless if they came with the model as an
option: Turbo Chargers, Super Chargers.

(3)Body and Suspension:
(A)  Vehicle must appear stock OEM.
(B)  Must have OEM metal bodies only.
(C)  Doors may be gutted or skinned to allow room for roll cage.
(D)  Body, including bumpers, must be OEM type and may not be reinforced.
(E)   Stock suspension may be reinforced but must remain in original mounting position.
(F)   Stock frame or uni-body may be reinforced between front and rear suspension.
(G)  Alignments may be changed as long as components are not modified.
(H)  No racing shocks
(I)     No racing springs. OEM springs only
(J)    Must be open differentials.
(K) Spring rubbers & lowering blocks o.k.
(L)   No ballast allowed.

(4)Tires and Wheels:
(A)  OEM steel wheels only no off sets.
(B)  Tires must be passenger car types with tread wear rating visible from the outside.  
Rating must be greater than 250 and are subject to durometer reading.
(C)  Tread limit to seven (7) inches as measured across the top of tire sip to sip level with
the wear bars.  No re-treads.
(D)  Tires must not be visible outside body when viewed from behind.
No grooving, sipping, grinding, sanding, studding
